Been Waiting for a new DIS/Ignition module?

Here is the new Motorcraft part number for the formerly unavailable modules.
Please verify this information before attempting to order from your Ford
parts dealer:

Old Motorcraft # DY-655
Old Ford Part # F1SF-12A297-BA

New Motorcraft# DY-958
New Ford Part # 1U2Z-12A297-C


Ford raised the jobber price on this module approx. $20 over the original.
So, get your check books ready, these new units should be hitting the dealer
shelves very soon!

Our thanks to Rick for providing this information, as always, SHO Club members should follow up and double check all numbers before ordering any part that they may not be able to return.

This is the module that bolts to the passenger side end of the intake manifold. It has two wire connections, one on either end.  When installing this module, be sure to apply some "heat sink" compound to the back side before installation, or follow the instructions.  "Heat Sink" compound is NOT dielectric grease, but something entirely different.
